Just imagine, for example, that the second car from the right in this photo is your car and that this is about 2/3 of the way through said snowstorm. I don't have to imagine it because the second car from the right in this photo IS my car...
For a brief moment I thought that my windscreen had imploded because I couldn't find it!
I borrowed a snow shovel and it took 15 minutes to dig my way to the (passenger side) door so that I could open it. Then I had to climb over the brake etc while wearing an ankle length wool coat and snow boots (yes it did look ridiculous but then again I reversed the car out of the space with exactly 0 visibility so noone could see me anyway):D The inside of the car is now covered in snow and there is a large footprint on the car radio.
Managed not to hit the car of the guy who lent me the snowshovel (thankfully). Cleared the remaining ton of snow off the car and parked in a snow-free space as requested.
It is due to snow again tonight.

This is my front doorstep (I actually don't know which of those 3 words should be attached or how...frontdoor-step possibly, very germanic) . The pattern at the front of the photo is the tiles on my hall floor, while the red brick is the porch wall:
